Employment trends for Human Resources

We’re pleased to announce the addition of a new industry to Indeed’s Industry Employment Trends – Human Resources.

The Human Resources Industry report provides a monthly snapshot of employer demand for HR and recruiting professionals, and shows trends in job seeker search activity for those jobs.  Because HR is responsible for an organization’s workforce planning needs, job posting activity in this segment is a unique early indicator for the job market.

In March, job postings for HR declined 1% month-over-month, but were up 34% over the prior year.

Clicks on HR jobs have increased 51% since March 2010.  Last month, the HR jobs receiving the most job seeker clicks were:

Real estate job postings fell 6% year-over-year. The other 12 industries we track maintained strong growth over the prior year.

Real estate also saw the largest monthly decline in job postings at -11%.
