Information technology jobs reach two-year high
Job postings for information technology approached 400,000 in February, according to our Industry Employment Trends, reaching their highest level in over two years.
In January, information technology job postings exceeded retail for the first time in over a year, moving IT into second place behind healthcare. IT maintained this position in February.

February Industry Employment Trends show job postings declined over the prior quarter in 10 of the 12 industries we track.
However, 10 of 12 industries had a month-over-month increase in job postings, reversing the seasonal slowdown seen at the end of 2010.
Job postings in all industries maintained considerable year-over-year job posting growth.
