Indeed Resume

Update (Sep 14, 2011): Indeed Resume for employers is launched – fast, simple, free resume search!

We are constantly looking for new ways to improve job search. One of the most requested features from job seekers on Indeed is the ability to post a resume online.

Today we are pleased to announce Indeed Resume, a simple way for anyone to add their resume to Indeed. From their free my.indeed account, job seekers can create a resume from scratch or upload an existing resume in any of dozens of common formats including Word, PDF, RTF, TXT, and HTML.

Indeed Resume makes it easy to store, edit, and share a resume. Resumes can be shared with anyone via a public URL or hidden for private use. Visitors to a public resume page can download the resume as a professional-looking PDF or email the job seeker through a secure contact form.

We’ll be adding new ways to use Indeed Resume, including making it easier to find the right jobs on Indeed and apply to them.

Information technology jobs reach two-year high

Job postings for information technology approached 400,000 in February, according to our Industry Employment Trends, reaching their highest level in over two years.

In January, information technology job postings exceeded retail for the first time in over a year, moving IT into second place behind healthcare.  IT maintained this position in February.

February Industry Employment Trends show job postings declined over the prior quarter in 10 of the 12 industries we track.

However, 10 of 12 industries had a month-over-month increase in job postings, reversing the seasonal slowdown seen at the end of 2010.

Job postings in all industries maintained considerable year-over-year job posting growth.
