Job market continues upward trend in March
Our Industry Employment Trends for March indicate job growth more clearly than ever before during the current recession.
Only one industry shows a decrease in job postings compared to last year. Even industries hit hardest by the recession, like transportation and real estate, saw more job postings last month than a year ago.
This is consistent with our positive prognosis for the job market earlier this year and tentative signals from today’s government jobs report. It is great news for job seekers – proof that companies are in fact starting to hire again.
Check back each month for our updated Industry Employment Trends – a leading indicator of how the job market is doing.
